TWO SEPARATE VALUE-ADDED OFFERS are available to couples at Khum Phaya Resort & Spa, the garden resort in Chiang Mai that is part of the Centara Boutique Collection, and are available between now and Oct. 31, 2013.

The Great Escape Discover Chiang Mai package is priced from 6,000 BHT per couple and is for a two-night/three-day stay in a Lanna Deluxe room with daily breakfast at Kham Saen Restaurant.

Couples choosing the package will also enjoy a half-day excursion with four options available –a visit to a handicraft village, an elephant camp for a show, a temple tour, or the Ancient Underground City, including a horse and carriage ride. A welcome drink and snacks are provided upon arrival at the hotel, and there is a 15% discount on food and non-alcohol beverages at Kham Saen, plus a 20% discount on all spa packages, and free Wi-Fi.

The second offer, Chiang Mai Breakaway is available for anyone booking a Lanna Deluxe Pool Access room for a minimum of one night from now until the end of October, and applicable for both singles and couples.

The program is priced from 3,400BHT a night, with breakfast at Kham Saen Restaurant and one set lunch at the restaurant for two persons per stay. A 20% discount is offered on all spa packages, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.

Chiang Mai Breakaway can be upgraded for an extra payment of 4,500 BHT, with the accommodation changed to a Lanna Villa and additional benefits including one set dinner for two persons per stay, a 60-minute aromatherapy massage for two, round-trip transfers between the hotel and Chiang Mai International Airport, and guaranteed late check-out.

Centara Pattaya GMCENTARA GRAND MIRAGE BEACH RESORT PATTAYA has a new general manager. He is Robert Lohrmann, a U.S. national and holds a bachelor degree in psychology from William Paterson State University in New Jersey. His appointment was announced by Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts.

Mr Lohrmann has over 35 years of experience in hotel management and has worked many years internationally for Marriott Hotels. With Marriott, he has held general manager and VP positions in notable properties such as JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Beijing, Ritz Carlton Hotel Beijing, JW Marriott Seoul, Korea and Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa Hainan, China.

Earlier in his career, Mr Lohrmann also worked with Conrad (Hilton) Hotels in Australia, Disneyland Paris in France and in several large hotels in the U.S. Prior to joining Centara, he was general manager at the Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel in Shanghai.
