THE #AvaniMe – the online brand video campaign by Avani Hotels & Resorts – has taken the top spot for content marketing at The Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards 2018. The win follows a previous nod this year from Citizine Travel Video Awards.
The Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards were created to honour the outstanding achievements of communications professionals in their field. In addition , the awards also provide an excellent networking forum for attendees and take a comprehensive look at communications achievements across the region.
The awards are vetted by a panel of jury members with a wide scope of expertise, from the perspective of both in-house and agency communication departments.
The #AvaniMe video campaign was launched in 2016 with the premier episode featuring supermodel, actor and current host of Asia’s Next Top Model, Cindy Bishop, showcasing her hometown of Bangkok.
The second instalment (which earned the award from Citizine) transports savvy travellers to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon with singer Cuca Roseta. In quick succession followed the best of the Gold Coast with Miss Universe Australia – Laura Dundovic, and an insight into Auckland through the eyes of health and fitness guru Makaia Carr.
The fifth and most recent episode stars South African musician, TV host and actor Kat Sinivasan on an action-packed 24-hour adventure through Livingstone in Zambia, and puts the total viewership close to 1.5 million on YouTube.
