VALENTINE’S DAY IS DEVOTED TO romance at VIE Hotel Bangkok, MGallery by Sofitel that features an intimate world of passionate red for a five-course Valentine’s Day set dinner, and a complimentary red rose surprise for your sweetheart, this Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, Valentine’s Day.

Ther five-course La VIE en Rouge dinner has been prepared with extra care for the most romantic night of the year.

It beings with an amuse-bouche and a starter of seared tuna, followed by a French foie gras mousse, beetroot gelée and pain d’epices toast.

A fish dish continues the culinary pleasure with Norwegian salmon, which is followed by duck breast roasted to perfection with an Earl Gray tea infusion, caramelized apple and dauphinoise potatoes.

VIE’s executive chef has created a special Valentine’s Day dessert which is served with gourmet coffee or tea.

Dinner will be accompanied by your favorite romantic melodies performed by the hotel’s live vocalist and pianist for this special candle-lit evening.

The five-course Valentine’s Day set dinner will be served at 6:30 pm for 3,850 THB per couple for food or an additional 999THB for perfectly selected wine pairing per person.

 

Celebrating Christmas and New Year’s at Four Seasons in Thailand

 CHRISTMAS EVEN DINNER at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai starts with an extravagant open-air buffet, while live jazz and traditional carols by a live choir fill the air.  At Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, the celebrations start with an afternoon tea.

Executive Pastry Chef Dustin Baxter has put together a menu of petit fours, including gourmet sandwiches with Duck Egg, Winter Truffle and Watercress in Brioche Bun;  Goat Cheese, Spiced Pumpkin Chutney and Foie Gras in Pumpernickel Bread and more.

Guests can get into a the spirit of the season with sweets like Classic Stollen or Raspberry Pistachio ‘Bouche de Noel’, while soaking in the island life. It stats at 1 pm and ends at 5 p.m. Price is 1,250 THB a person.

Four Seasons Samui’s Christmas and New Year’s Day brunches combine a lavish buffet of Thai and International cuisine, with nostalgic seasonal dishes from around the globe, including traditional roasts with rich, savoury sides, decedent dessert and more festive favourites and a glass of sparkling wine. Both brunches run from noon to 4 pm.

Two-Star Michelin chef returning to La VIE Bangkok

Born to a farming family in the Sarthe in Western France, Chef Philippe Mille has had the experience of observing the growth of vegetables and livestock his entire life, discovering every nuance that makes them perfect. His refined sense of appreciating fragrance and taste has led him to the notable creations that have earned him two Michelin stars.

Centara adds WeChat Pay for online bookings

CENTARA HOTELS & RESORTS IS NOW accepting WeChat Pay transactions on its websites for online room reservations.

This is in addition to the 15 hotels that already deploy nearly 100 EDC devices for QR code scanning on WeChat Pay, making it the largest hotel group in Thailand offering Chinese tourists omni-channel payment solutions.

Bills for accommodation, restaurants and spa treatments can be paid directly from smartphones. The company expects to have WeChat Pay at all Centara Hotels & Resorts globally by the end of 2018.

  “A seamless payment experience for consumers using any channel is an element of our platform for expansion, which should see us double both revenue and the number of our properties over the next five years,” said Thirayuth Chirathivat, Centara CEO.

“As consumer behavior evolves, Centara has adopted an omni-channel strategy to stay relevant and to provide a great customer experience. We embrace these types of disruptive opportunities to better serve our guests and stay on top of the industry.”

Chinese tourists account for almost one third of all foreign travellers to this country. Thailand is welcoming an ever-increasing number of Chinese visitors, for whom the kingdom remains the top travel destination. This year, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, expects more than 10 million Chinese tourists visit Thailand annually.

WeChat Pay is the payment solution of WeChat, one of the largest social networks in China. WeChat Pay has become the main cashless payment method for daily small transactions in China and has more than 800 million active users in its database.
